Faniel Pradel

Faniel Pradel

Faniel Pradel had never heard of Leesburg when he left South Florida to come to the Warren W. Willis Camp in 2007. He quickly became a worship leader. He leads the praise band in the fellowship hall every day at 3 p.m. He serves as a mentor to young campers. He leads discussions on the "brokenness of the world."

Like many other team leaders, Pradel expects the renovation of The Barnett Lodge to "make something that is good, even better" and to "open doors to let more people in."

What draws him to the camp every summer is "the chance to help change lives." "It's a monumental thing, he says. "Every week I change a life."

When not at camp, Pradel is on the staff of the Wesley Foundations at Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College. He has a gift for music and a gift for working with young people. "We try to help them understand that you can be 'cool' and still be a Christian," he said.

"Working at camp is like working in a full-time youth group," he said. "It's amazing the community we build here."
